I’m New

What to Expect

At Kingsport Student Ministries it's important to us that students feel like they belong and connect with students and leaders when they attend. We're very "family-oriented" in we are all brothers and sisters in Christ! We care for, encourage, and love one another!

We want students to benefit from our culture, biblical teaching, and fun environment!

Here are a few things students and their parents can expect when they visit:
1 A fun, loving, authentic, and friendly culture.

We work hard to be welcoming to all students and parents regardless of their past. We encourage a loving atmosphere where students feel welcome to open up to our leaders and other students. We believe Jesus accepts all people and we try our best to be like Him at all times.

2 Leadership who is loving, encouraging, and invests in spiritual growth.

Our leaders are bi-vocational and invest a lot of their spare time, finances, and effort into students. Michael Smith, our Student Ministry Director has led youth ministry since 2008. With his wife Chelsey and help of Debbie Aldeen and Eddie Samples (veterans of 20+ years) they work tirelessly to serve students and encourage them to grow spiritually.

3 An exciting place for students and young adults to grow spiritually and make new friends.

We have 3 main areas we meet at Kingsport Community Church. The first is on the second floor of the Family Life Center called "The Loft". Here we have groups, games, food, and all sorts of fun! Enjoy music, games, pool, ping pong, video games, and snacks! We also have "The Lounge" downstairs close to the entrance which is a much smaller and more intimate space for small groups, counseling, or just hanging out! Finally we meet in the Gym of the Family Life Center which is a full size gym where we play anything from basketball, dodgeball, and wiffle ball to life size Hungry Hippos and Octoball! Also the Young Adult/College group meets at the Smith House in the open concept, casual living room/kitchen area.
